Making Donations to White Lodge Centre

There are a number of ways in which you can help us to raise valuable funds for White Lodge Centre.

Give As You Earn
Payroll donations are the easiest way to support White Lodge Centre. A monthly pledge of £10 from your payroll will only cost you £7.80, while White Lodge receives £11. Your donation is deducted at source and is therefore completely tax free. A 40% higher rate taxpayer will only actually pay £6. Simple!

To set up a payroll scheme, ask your company's wages department if they already operate this scheme. They will give you a form to complete if a scheme is in place. Otherwise, your company can contact the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) on 01732 520 000 who will happily assist in setting up a payroll scheme.

Regular Gifts
A donation of any amount made to White Lodge from individuals who pay tax are eligible for Gift Aid. All you need to do is make a simple declaration and then we can claim the tax back. This means that for every £1 you donate we get an extra 28p. If you are a higher rate taxpayer you may be able to offset the higher and standard tax rates against your own tax liability. (This does not apply to donations made by a CAF voucher, as tax will already have been accounted for.)

Legacies
Making or amending your will is an ideal time to give to White Lodge Centre. It is a chance to leave a lasting gift that will help disabled adults and children in the future – a special gift that really makes a difference. By giving to White Lodge in this way, your gift is also exempt from inheritance tax, currently standing at 40%. You can also be reassured that all of your legacy will be spent helping disabled people in your community.

Collection Boxes
Don’t be shy about asking your business, sports club or local pub to take on White Lodge Centre as their adopted charity. This could involve as little as putting a collection box on the bar or reception desk, but if they wish to become more involved, we are always here for help and advice.
