Play and Leisure Activities - we run a number of after school, evening, weekend and holiday activities for young people and are looking for volunteers to help.
Playscheme for School Summer holidays including Easter, Xmas and ½ terms.
Monday to Friday, 9.00 – 5.00, not necessarily required to do all day.
Tasks: generally playing with the children and taking part in activities, which include painting, water/sand play, swimming, outings.
Assisting the nursery children at Woking Leisure Centre every Thursday, term time only, approx 11am - 1pm. Travel on our minibus or meet the team at the Gym. This is an active role running, crawling, etc with the children.
Café assistant required to help make sandwiches, lunches and serve. No experience required.
Assisting our service users in the Adult Centre to do art and pottery. Monday and Thursdays am only.
We are unable to accept under 16 year olds working directly with our service users and in some instances the age could be higher.
Are you a rummager with a flair for finding hidden treasures? Then come and join us in our onsite shop.
We are looking for an enthusiastic & reliable volunteer to help with
- sorting and pricing clothes and other items
- cleaning and ironing items
Training will be provided, and time commitment is flexible. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm. Volunteers will excellent interpersonal skills and to be physically active.
This is a great opportunity to make new friends and help White Lodge Centre to continue to provide its’vital services.
General help required in Rendezvous, our adult service. Must be happy to support individuals with a variety of activities e.g. cooking, craft, discussion groups etc, and feel comfortable once familiar with our set up, to be left running groups for short periods. Ideally individual should be willing to assist with personal care and help people to eat and drink. Help particualry required on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Are you able to offer a few hours on an adhoc basis throughout the year?
We need volunteers to help spread awareness of our work and raise vital funds at local events, often in the evening or at weekends. Duties include assembling & running stalls, distributing leaflets and helping with collections.
Volunteers must enjoy meeting people and not be afraid to make an initial approach, being polite and friendly at all times. They will also need to be able to handle money and cash transactions.
