Play & Leisure Activities – we run a number of after school, evening, weekend and holiday activities for young people are looking for volunteers to help.
Playscheme for School Summer holidays including Easter, Xmas and ½ terms
Monday to Friday, 9.00 – 5.00, not necessarily required to do all day
Tasks: generally playing with the children and taking part in activities, which include painting, water/sand play, swimming, outings.
Gardener – time to suit volunteer – Monday to Friday
Assisting the nursery children at Woking Gym Club every Thursday, term time only. Approx 11am till 1.30pm. You can go on our minibus or meet the team at the Gym. You will need to be quite fit as you will be running, crawling, etc with the children.
Assisting our Nursery children in and out of the water and dressing and undressing. This is every Friday, term time only. It would be helpful to be here to set up at 1.30pm. Swimming takes place at 2pm until 3pm. This is part of their therapy programme.
A Mother & Toddler group for children with disabilities, under 5’s. It runs every Tuesday (term time only) 10am till 2pm. Parents stay with children and volunteers are wanted to help support this group. The group also goes swimming in hydrotherapy pool after lunch.
Café assistant required to help make sandwiches, lunches and serve, Tue, Wed, Fri in Café / kitchen – no experience required *
Admin support required to assist the Support Services Manager, also admin support needed for the Maintenance Team. Applicants must be IT literate, have good communication skills, attention to detail, good organizational skills and able to work using their own initiative.
Assisting our service users in the Adult Centre to do art and pottery. Monday and Thursdays a.m. only.

We are looking for an enthusiastic & reliable volunteer to help with
- sorting and pricing clothes and other items
- cleaning and ironing items
Training will be provided, and time commitment is flexible. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm. Volunteers will excellent interpersonal skills and to be physically active.
This is a great opportunity to make new friends and help White Lodge Centre to continue to provide its’vital services.
General help required in Rendezvous, our adult service. Must be happy to support individuals with a variety of activities e.g. cooking, craft, discussion groups etc, and feel comfortable once familiar with our set up, to be left running groups for short periods. Ideally individual should be willing to assist with personal care and help people to eat and drink. Help particualry required on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Are you able to offer a few hours on an adhoc basis throughout the year?
We need volunteers to help spread awareness of our work and raise vital funds at local events, often in the evening or at weekends. Duties include assembling & running stalls, distributing leaflets and helping with collections.
Volunteers must enjoy meeting people and not be afraid to make an initial approach, being polite and friendly at all times. They will also need to be able to handle money and cash transactions.
