RENDEZVOUS
Leisure and Life Skills Assistant
£8.62 per hour
6 hours on Fridays plus bank hours

Would you like to work as part of a team to support physically disabled adults in planned activity programmes? As part of the team you would be expected to facilitate various groups e.g. music, cookery, quizzes etc, keep accurate records, and support individuals with personal care needs as required.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent would be desirable. Post is subject to a Criminal Records Bureau check at enhanced level.

Play and Youth Workers
Hourly rate £7.25

Looking for a challenge and an exciting way to spend your holidays? We are looking for staff to work at our Easter and Summer school holiday play and youth schemes based in Hersham, Chertsey, Staines and Shepperton.

Successful applicants will join our bank of play workers and will have the opportunity to support disabled children and young people in play and leisure activities.

Full training and support will be provided.

Saturday Youth Scheme Staff
£7.25 per hour
52 Saturdays P.A. including holidays

An opportunity has arisen to join our enthusiastic Saturday Club staff team. If you are creative, patient and keen to engage with teenagers with disabilities then this could be the job for you!

Potential applicants must be able to demonstrate an understanding of disability and confidence when working with young people who have autism, physical and learning disabilities. All staff are required to undertake relevant training and to support young people with their personal care.

Most Saturdays hours of work will be 9.30am – 4.30pm, however, times may vary depending on the activity.

Therapy Team Co-ordinator
Salary: £34,903.60 – £40,010 p.a. (depending on experience)
30-36 hours per week with six weeks holiday

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Therapist (OT/SLT/PT) to lead a multi-disciplinary team providing therapy services to children, young people and adults with mainly neurological problems. This role will suit someone seeking part direct clinical delivery to either children and/or adults and part service management and development.

Essential criteria for role:
• Registration with the HPC and with a relevant professional body.
• A comprehensive and specialist knowledge of the causes, diagnosis and presentation of neurological conditions, including cerebral palsy.
• Substantial experience of assessing and treating children or adults with neurological conditions.
• An ability to manage, lead, coach and educate others.

Play/Youth Scheme Supervisors
Salary: £12.06 per hour
9am-5pm weekdays

We are currently recruiting supervisors for our holiday play schemes for children and teenagers with disabilities. Our main schemes run during the Easter and summer school holidays.

If you are…

• Enthusiastic about leisure opportunities for young people with disabilities
• Available to work during the Easter and Summer school holidays
• Experienced in child care/youth work
• Qualified in a relevant level 3 subject
• Confident and able to lead a team of staff and volunteers
• Keen to gain relevant training opportunities
• Caring, able to communicate well in different ways and organised

As a member of our bank staff there may be other opportunities to take up work during the school year, however, the hours would mainly be in the school holidays.

Support Worker – Domiciliary Care Team
Salary: £9.41 per hour
Evening work, weekend work or as a second job

Providing support to children and young people up to the age of 18 who have autism/physical disability is hard work but can be very rewarding.

As a Support Worker you may work on an individual basis at the child/young person’s home or alternatively out in the community accessing various activities. Applicants need to demonstrate confidence, patience and understanding as some children and young people we are supporting may demonstrate behaviours that challenge.

Ideally you already have a relevant NVQ 2 qualification or be willing to work towards achieving the qualification? A driving licence, access to own transport and business insurance is essential. Work is available in Runnymede and Woking areas. A commitment to working regular hours is essential.

TREETOPS – RESIDENTIAL SETTING

Senior Support Worker Nights
Salary: £12.44 per hour
Waking Shift: Thursday nights and every other Saturday 9.15pm to 7.15am

Main tasks include overall responsibility for running the shift, supporting and responding to the children, housekeeping tasks, record keeping and contributing to service development. Potential applicants must be able to demonstrate an understanding of disability and confidence when working with children who have physical and learning disabilities and health care needs.

You must:
• Have had experience working with children/young people
• Hold a relevant level 3 qualification
• Be able to lead and motivate a team of staff and volunteers
