Play Scheme Supervisor
£11.28 per hour
9.00am–5.00pm Monday to Friday during holiday periods.
(Option to job share if unable to commit to all holidays).

An exciting opportunity to run the Twinks play scheme for children with autistic spectrum disorders. Applicants must hold a relevant level 3 qualification, and demonstrate an understanding of autism and creativity in activity planning.

Support Workers
£8.81 per hour
Looking for weekend or part-time work? Do you enjoy working with disabled children? If so, don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to join our expanding team of Support Workers. You will work with disabled children and young people on an individual basis at their home or at activities in the local area, supporting them with all aspects of daily living.

Saturday work available throughout Woking, Weybridge, Addlestone, Staines, Chertsey, Egham and Molesey, various hours including 10.00am-2.00pm and 10.00am-4.00pm.

In addition, the following positions are available:
4.00pm-7.00pm, twice a week (one on Friday) in Addlestone.
4.00pm-7.00pm, Monday, Tuesday, Friday in Woking.
4.00pm-7.00pm, twice a week in Sheerwater.
9.30pm-7.30am, 1 night a week in Weybridge.

Relevant Level 3 qualification preferred although not essential. Driving licence and access to own transport essential.

Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering at the Children's Centre

Help is urgently needed with sorting, pricing and serving the visitors in the new/good-as-new shop at the Children’s Centre, time and day to suit volunteer.

Minibus drivers to drive White Lodge minibus on afternoons and day trips for the Short Term Care Unit. Also one person who could drive 1 or 2 days a year for pre-booked trips. Training is provided but you must be aged over 22, have three years' driving experience and be able to drive D1 vehicles on modern driving license or ‘A’ vehicles on the older driving licence.

Play & Leisure Activities, who run a number of after school, evening, weekend and holiday activities for young people, are looking for volunteers to help:
Saturday all day – Shakers Club.
Afterschool (3.30 – 6.00pm) Monday and Thursday in Shepperton.
School holidays including Summer, Easter, Christmas and Half Term, Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm, not necessarily required to do all days.
Tasks include playing with the children and taking part in activities such as painting, water/sand play, swimming and outings.

Volunteers required for driving the playscheme children on outings – occasionally Saturdays and some days in the school holidays.

Family Link require help assisting a family every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month in the White Lodge swimming pool (10.00am–12.00pm).

The Befriending Scheme is looking for people, particularly those aged 18-25 years to befriend disabled children and teenagers and support them to access leisure opportunities. Commitment varies from four hours per month to one afternoon per week. Volunteers would be trained and supported by the Coordinator.

General help required in the Children’s Centre kitchen doing washing up, laundry etc.


Volunteering at the Adult Resource Centre

scorts for the minibus. Wednesday 3.30pm–5.00pm, Thursday and Friday 8.30am – 10.30am and 3.30 – 5.30pm.

Volunteers to help in the hydro pool on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10.30am–1.00pm.

A volunteer to help co-ordinate activities at a Weybridge Stroke Club on Thursdays 1.30pm–5.00pm.

A driver is needed to pick up people who have a physical disability in our adapted car between 12.00pm and 5.30pm and take them to courses/clubs.


Volunteering for Fundraising Events

The Fundraising Team at White Lodge Centre run many events throughout the year and you can help by offering your time to assist the team.
