Dance the night away to acclaimed Sixties live band Ancient Rock and relive the era that brought us great rock ‘n’ roll and groovy pop! The Staines 10K aims to provide a fast flat race with the proceeds being donated to local deserving causes. This year’s event is staged just 19 days before the start of the Olympic Games and the excitement and buzz within London at this time will make for a truly special occasion! Led by an experienced and friendly ‘Ride2Raise’ Ride Manager, the challenge will include parts of the 2012 Olympic Road Race route, the beautiful Surrey Hills and North Downs. On Friday 7th September you will have an overnight stop in the classic spa town of Tunbridge Wells, before the final push to the coast on Saturday through the lovely country lanes of Kent. This is a moderate ride for keen cyclists and less experienced riders looking for a brilliant challenge! The trek will be led by White Lodge Centre Patron Bonita Norris, the youngest British female to summit Mount Everest, and organised by RJ7 Expeditions.
