Volunteers Questionnaire June 2006

The questionnaire was sent out to 110 volunteers and 36 responded, although answers were not given to all questions.

Volunteers were asked the following:

1. How long have you been a volunteer?
Under 1 year = 14
1-5 years = 12
Over 5 years = 10

2. Which part of the service are you working in?
Administration = 4
Children = 22
Adults = 13

3. Have you been through the White Lodge induction process?
Yes = 18
No = 18

How do you rate it?
Score 1 to 5, where 1 = poor and 5 = excellent

1 = 0 / 2 = 0 / 3 = 2 / 4 = 9 / 5 = 4

Any suggestions for how it can be improved?

"As a service user of the White Lodge for over 10 years and then as a shop volunteer, my induction was probably tailored to my situation rather than following specific guidelines."

No = 3
Not sure = 13

5. Would you like to know about other services in White Lodge?

"No comments to make, WL staff provide outstanding facilities and care."
