You will be asked to assist with a variety of activity sessions such as cookery, discussion groups, art and craft, music, and at times may be asked to run the session for short periods if the staff member is called away. Ideally, we need people who would be willing to help with personal care and assisting people with their lunch but this is not essential

18-25 yr old transition service ‘Pulse’

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic volunteers to help support young adults with physical disability, neurological condition and/or learning disability within our new service. The role will involve helping to facilitate a variety of activities for the young people both on site and out into the community. Ideally, we need people who would be willing to help with personal care and assisting people with their lunch but this is not essential. Someone who has a D1 driving license who is willing to drive our young people out on community trips would be an added bonus.

Fundraising Events volunteer

In 2018 we want to take White Lodge Centre to our community by raising more awareness about who we are, where we are and what we do. To achieve this, we are looking to build a bank of enthusiastic volunteers who can represent White Lodge Centre at local fairs, fetes and other fundraising events. We will need people to help us set up and run promotional stalls, people to hold a bucket at a collection and also cheer and encourage our brave participants in events like the London Marathon or Ride London Bike ride. We'll supply the promotional T-shirts and materials but we need manpower to help deliver our presence. We don't expect you to commit to all events but attendance of a handful of events would make such a difference. Once you are on the bank of volunteers we'll contact you regularly to let you know what events we need help with. It's fun and you don't need to commit regularly.

Have you got what it takes to talk about our work to a group of people? We are looking for impassioned volunteers to join a small bank of public speakers who can visit clubs, organisations and even schools to talk about the work of the White Lodge Centre. You could also help when we are exhibiting promotional stalls at local events as your ability to talk about our work to individuals will be so helpful. Full training will be provided to help you learn our key messages and topical activities. This team will play an important role as look to grow awareness and support in the community.

Can collectors

Did you know that on average one collection can placed in a local shop of business will accumulate £41 in loose change! We are looking for volunteers to help us increase the amount of collection cans that we have in the community - not only do they raise vital money but they also help raise an immeasurable amount of awareness. If you can find time to place 10-20 cans in your community and replace and bring the full cans to White Lodge Centre 2 to 3 times a year then we would love to hear from you.
