As of today, White Lodge remains open to support our vulnerable users who depend on us but the nature of how we deliver our services are being constantly reviewed in line with the latest government guidelines.
However, due to the developing situation of the Covid-19 crisis White Lodge are either cancelling or postponing of a number of fundraising and awareness activities that are taking place in the next few weeks.
We will be contacting all attendees and volunteers over the coming days to advise them of the situation. Fortunately, some extraordinary events such as the London Marathon have been postponed until the autumn and we are in total awe of all the training our heroes have done, and will continue to do over the summer months. Also, events like the Super Hero Tri and Prudential Ride London, are still scheduled to go ahead as planned on the 15th or 16th August, unless advised nearer the time. Why not set yourself a target for later in the year! The details are here
Lesley Robbins, CEO says: “Protecting the interests and health of our disabled community and the public at large is of paramount importance and we continue to follow the developing advice of Healthcare England and the Government guidelines.
These are difficult times for the country and the events of the next few weeks and months will have a significant impact on our income streams, specifically in fundraising. Looking forward, this could potentially compromise some of our essential services that so many children, adults and families depend on. Therefore, if you were planning to attend one of our cancelled events maybe you could consider making a small donation instead. Such support could be a real lifeline to us. Thank you so much for your continued support and most of all please keep yourself safe. Thank you so much”
