What is wingwalking:
You will climb up onto the wings and be strapped to one of our 1940's Boeing Stearman biplanes. Once secured, you will be taken on the flight of your lifetime by one of the best display pilots in the UK. All our flights are approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority and we have extensive experience of providing opportunities for amateur wingwalkers over the last 12 years.
There is a spectator area for friends and family to watch in amazement as you 'Reach for the Skies' and you can have your daredevil antics recorded for prosperity on HD video.
Damyns Hall Aerodrome is based in Upminster, inside the M25 and 5 minutes from Upminster tube and rail stations.
Costs and funding options for your wingwalking challenge:
Operating from April to October prices start at £395 which can be funded in two ways:
Option A – With this option you will have nothing to pay upfront for your wingwalk and you will need to raise at least double the cost of the walk in sponsorship - 50% of the money you raise will pay for the walk and a minimum of 50% will go to White Lodge. For example, if your wingwalk costs £395, you will need to raise a minimum of £790.
Option B – You pay for the cost of your wingwalk as well as raising sponsorship for White Lodge. This means that 100% of what you raise goes to White Lodge but there is no minimum fundraising target.
