We firmly uphold the vision of the late, great William Morris, “Art for All”
We have a well-equipped, spacious art studio that inspires individuals of all abilities to create unique works of art, including a kiln for firing clay. There truly is something for everyone, from producing mosaics to exploring the shapes, colours and textures of textiles, and creating unique pieces of art for you to take home and enjoy.
We also run open art sessions where individuals can explore the visual art that appeals to them most. We use a wide range of media and offer a range of activities, including drawing, painting, mosaics, textile art, card craft and clay work. We look at different eras and styles of painting, and there is always the opportunity to research artists of your choice using our library and online resources.
If getting messy appeals to you, join our messy art sessions held weekly, where you can experiment with a range of materials and techniques. Don’t worry about ruining your jumper - aprons are provided! Also, keep an eye out for artists in residence; there’s always something happening!
What truly sets us apart is that, thanks to our amazing facilities and staff, we offer creative arts for all abilities. So don’t let anything stand in your way; all you need is the ability to be inspired, and together we can create art that you can be proud of.
